Relief at last (2009-07-01)
After having suffered for weeks with severe pain in my lower back from a misalignment in my lumbar vertebra, I ordered this table. I did the research and decided the EP-950 would be worth the extra hundred bucks to me. I am 6'3" and weigh 285, so I wanted the heavier duty frame, and the ankle locking mechanism was also important, as I have read many reviews from people who were dissatisfied with the lesser model. My only experience on an inversion table was some years ago in a chiropractor's office, and once they got me in it and inverted it took about 20 minutes get me back out, so I was more than a little leery. (I don't know what brand of table it was, but it was very poorly engineered, definitely not a Teeter.)
The EP-950 was easy to assemble, but definitely read the instructions. I began using it very tentatively, 3 or 4 times a day for 5 minutes, and worked my way up to the 60 degree inversion over a few days. I could feel a real difference, and using my body weight to put traction on my spine felt really good. After doing this for about 3 weeks, my spine finally realigned itself with a rather loud but very satisfying pop. Ever since then, I feel like I am an inch taller than I was. I am able to walk and move around without the pain of a constantly pinched nerve. I continue to use the table daily, and while I do go fully inverted now, the fact is that the 60 degree setting is adequate to provide real relief for my condition. At full inversion, the ankle lock does bother me after a few minutes, but it is not unbearable, and the therapeutic benefits far outweigh the discomfort. I would very definitely recommend this table especially for bigger people like me. It is very well made, and well worth the extra money. A friend who had the basic version was very impressed with the ankle release system on the EP-950. He said that alone was worth the extra money, and the frame is beefier as well.
Couldn't be happier with my Teeter! (2009-06-08)
I've been using this for about 3 weeks. My lower back began feeling better after just a couple days. I dreaded bending over at all because my lower left back would get a painful kink in it that was hard to stretch out or get rid of. Now I can do all sorts of things that would have set the pain off and not worry. I look forward to using the Teeter everyday because it helps so much. As far as quality, it is OUTSTANDING!!! Very well built. I'm 6'2" and 275 lbs. It feels very solid and I feel very safe with it. My wife and son enjoy it as well and it helps them feel better also.
A real pain reliever (2009-06-03)
I have suffered with back pain for several years and was considering back surgery. I found this product to relieve my pain. It does not totally solve my problem, but it makes the pain bareable and Im not using motrin everyday. I use my teeter hang ups 3 times a day for about 2 minutes at a time. Morning, lunch, and before bed. This is a very well built product and I would highly recommend it. The only improvement needed is better ankle cuffs, they are a little uncomfortable.
Best model (2009-06-01)
At 1st, I looked for a used model of a Teeter Hang Ups, ideally looking for the EP-950... All I could find (CraigsList, Ebay, etc.) were the cheaper models... I now know why: this is a keeper... After 3 back surgeries, I still have back pain, and look forward the the relief I get... So far, it's not long term, but only time will tell... But what the heck: It feels good!!!

Great! (2009-05-29)
We have the EP-950 and it is helping my husband with his back pain. He's tried everything else! He's been able to do more around the house and I'm glad of that!
